By joining our club you are automatically a member of the Southern
California Golf Association. You will be given a seven digit number as your GHIN Index number. It is to be used
anytime you record a score into the computer either at home (Mission Trails) or away. All posting computers are user friendly,
however, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to call Jim Southard at (619)448-3584, or you can ask anyone
of the pros or assistants in the Pro Shop.
It is important to post all of your scores since this is the only way we have
of keeping an accurate handicap for you.
Here
are several pointers to keep in mind...
- Never
post as a Tournament unless indicated by the tournament Chairman.
- Always "adjust" your score before posting.
- You must post a score for any round played of thirteen or more holes. If you have played more than
twelve but less than eighteen, you must take a Net Par for the holes not played.
If you have never established a handicap before, we can start you with a temporary
handicap with a few as five recorded rounds or five recent score cards. It takes twenty recorded rounds to establish your
permanent index from which you obtain your handicap. You must have an established or temporary handicap to participate in
our tournaments.
We hope you take full
advantage of our club and participate in as many events as possible.
