White Tee Flight, and Posting Policy.

The following subjects affecting all Mission Trails Men’s Golf Club Members were addressed at the November Board Meeting. 1) In response to the advisory vote by members at the General Membership Meeting in September to review the policy regarding Play from the white tees. After an enthusiastic discussion the board voted to suspend the age limitation (62 years) and create a white flight in Chiefs Tournaments beginning in December. It is the Boards Recommendation that players with a handicap of 19 and above sign up to play from the white tees, however there are no qualifications or restrictions on the set of tees you chose to play.Members playing the White Tees will be competing in a separate flight including tournament script, pins and skins. If you sign up to play the White tees you will not be competing against players from the Blue Tees in other flights A, B, C etc.Place a W after your name when you sign up for the tournament if you want to play the White Tees otherwise you will be placed in the flight where your handicap falls and you will play the Blue Tees. The Club will subsidize the Tournament for the White Flight, if necessary, up to 15 Players. Pins and skins will be paid relative to the buy ins for that flight. This Policy will be reviewed at the General Membership Meeting in March. 2) Review of Posting Policy.    Post all acceptable rounds. Home and Away. 18 hole rounds and 9 hole rounds.    Post all Men's Club Tournament and Event rounds played at Mission Trails on the Mission Trails Computer. This allows the Tournament committee to audit these rounds in a timely manner.        FAILURE TO POST    Members who fail to post acceptable rounds according to the SCGA/USGA Handicap Policy shall be subject to the following progressive disciplinary action by the Handicap Committee    A) First time failure to post will receive a verbal warning and the score will be posted by the Handicap Committee without further penalty.    B) Second time failure to post will receive a penalty round equal to the lowest score posted in the players last (20) rounds, and the Handicap Committee will post the round.    C) Third time failure to post will receive a posted round (the round that should have been posted) and the Handicap Index will be frozen at the low index for six months.    D) Forth time failure to post will receive a posted round and a disqualification from tournament participation for six months.    E) Fifth time failure to post will receive a withdraw of Handicap Index.
